A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Terrible experience to the point that I’ll never get food from there again. Didn’t receive all of the food that I ordered and even worse, it was served in USED Styrofoam tray. Pic attached. When I reluctantly decided to eat it anyway because well thats all I had and they were already closed, noticed that there was burnt, melted cheese under my fries. I don’t want to think that this was done deliberately but you never know. Completely disgusted by this and am attaching a pic of what was found under my seafood platter. I don’t even want anything in return. Just know that your staff is disgusting.

I ordered through door dash and just received my meal… I use to enjoy food from here,but not anymore! My baked potato is hard as a rock, and I paid over $4 for a side of okra that’s ridiculous… I get inflation but this is a joke and a rip off!

Had a great experience in the drive thru. A nice welcoming voice in the intercom was it for me. The older woman was so Southern friendly, I can’t help but just smile. The order came out perfectly, just like how I remembered it way back then. Thank you for the hospitality. I’ll be back later today. Again!

Overall, I like this location because the food is hot and fresh. However, today I got very little broccoli. Also, the women’s restroom only has one stall working and the bathroom was disgusting. I would still go back, just won’t order broccoli and don’t have to use the bathroom.

Worst Captain D’s restaurant I’ve ever been to. I ordered a 3 piece spicy fish meal and when I received my food I noticed that one piece was missing but also the two pieces of fish were totally different. So I went inside and they brought me out another piece of fish but when I enquired about why one piece looks different than the others they continuously tried to convince me that the batter is what made it look different. Worst service, worst food, and worst attitudes I’ve ever experienced at a Captain D’s restaurant.

Good batter dipped fish, green beans and coleslaw. They have packets of the vinegar that’s very hard to open. You have to ask for tartar sauce now, you don’t get it yourself like you used to. The ceiling tiles were discolored and some of them were very moldy. We were the only people there and most of the tables were dirty. There used to be somebody that kept the tables clean.

Love the food. But the drive thru wait is ridiculous. The last three times I have been I waited behind a single car for 15+ minutes. When it was my turn, I waited another 15+ minutes. I think it is possible to cook more than one piece of fish at a time but not sure Captains Ds does that anymore.
