A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Food always good. The cashier had a nasty attitude. If all captain ds had a cashier like her you wouldn’t have any customers there. This was in hueytown,al. And it was on a Saturday around 2:30 /3:00pm. And I don’t live in bham. I came to visit my family an we went there to eat.

Line is typically slow. Food is normally satisfying and hot. Okra, battered fish, hush puppies, and Mac and cheese are delicious. I asked for broccoli but did not receive it. Please listen carefully to customers. I want to compliment Latasha on her customer service. She was polite and professional. Keep up the good work; good customer service is rare these days.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. There were literally dozens of people there and the back was probably understaffed, but all the employees did great! The food was good and nothing took too long. They need a raise!

My husband went to pick up dinner tonight. All of out food looked tossed around in our plates. It looks like they almost dropped it before bringing it out. The service has become worse since the rebuild. My husband hates for his wet and dry food to touch. His plate has the fries on it. Smh. I will not be back to this location any time soon.

The fish is ALWAYS loaded with water, falling apart and nasty looking on the inside. I’ve wasted over $25 on several visits, on food that wasn’t eatable. Bring back the 80s & 90s Captain Ds or better cooks that know how to prepare and fry fish.

The food was half done. I guess they feel the busier they are. The food has to be cooked faster. Slow down, we are humans, why try to kill us off, or make us sick with half cooked food. Take your time. People want what they want. Some will move on, and others will stay.

The drive thru is always packed and they seem to not be worried too much of it because after going through the drive thru we had to wait even longer. I wanna say around 30 minutes going through and then having to wait even longer to get the food. They also forgot to give us our drinks…

Ordered online and done the curbside pickup. I wish I would have opened before I left. This is the deluxe seafood platter. The stuffed crab is awful! It’s overcooked and seems to have been sitting for a while. The freshest think on the plate is the hush puppies everything else was cold and chewy.
