At our Sylacauga, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

While in town we stopped in for a bite. Been several time and always a pleasant experience. when I tell you the staff is overly helpful and kind here I mean it. They made me feel like family. The food is as alway delicious and consistent. Everything was cooked to order and the meal was great. The interior was clean with everything you could need was there for the asking. Second time I did not get my complete order at the drive thru. Will not answer the phone. Tonight I was shorted one plate which left one family member with no dinner. Went back and was told all the plates ordered were brought out. I bought 5 plates. Only 4 in my bags when I got home. Yes, I should check before leaving but people are waiting in line. The employees should check every order for accuracy before bringing it out!!

I would like to thank Jennifer Goff of the Sylacauga Captain D’s for her hard work. Today, and as noted on several other occasions, she was the only one at the front, working the drive through and the inside register. She was doing the job of 3 people, and handling it all with a smile; although, you could tell she was running herself so hard. She was also delivering food to those awaiting their order outside.

A few weeks ago my husband went to get us two fish platters and clam strips He said the cashier plainly said the warehouse had not sent them any. Today — now they are no longer selling them and no longer on the online menu or available ( clam strips).

The life of me I can’t understand how they keep enough fish to supply all the people that eat there my hats off to the staff for keeping up and maintaining a positive attitude. The girl at the front counter who I see there most of the time in the afternoons and evenings has such a positive attitude and although the crowd may be overwhelming she never appears to be overwhelmed. Great job keep up the good work.
