A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I gave 2 stars just because the food was decent. I did not rate any higher because the service was awful. I guess that’s what you get when the place is run by a bunch of kids with no adult supervision. We ordered 4 meals, a medium tea, and a large Dr. Pepper. 2 of the 4 meals were not what we ordered and the drinks were backwards. One meal we ordered just simply 2pcs of fish with hushpuppies and funnel cake sticks. We got fish and a double order of hushpuppies and no funnel cake sticks. The other meal was the butterfly shrimp dinner with slaw and fries. We got just the shrimp. Granted we were not charged for the items we were missing, but that just tells me the kid taking our order wasn’t paying attention. Also, it doesn’t help that the two he messed up on were the FIRST two meals we ordered. We asked for tarter sauce for all meals…we got 2! Lol. The service here with kids taking the orders is a joke. If they can’t pay attention to what customers order, they have no business taking orders. I don’t know that I’ll be back if it’s going to be ran by kids.

I always liked Captain D’s however lately the food is hit or miss. When we eat inside it usually is all good, but we have got it to go through the drive thru last couple times and both times half of the food wasn’t even hot. This last time my broccoli was so gross looking I didn’t even bother to eat it. Sorry I was too hungry to take a picture with all the food but I got the 2 fish and shrimp meal; half the shrimp were overcooked or just too crispy, the macaroni was good and hot, and the fish was ok but not as hot as macaroni. I won’t be ordering broccoli any more because this has been how my broccoli looked the last few times.

The food is good but they r starting to get orders wrong and when you point it out, they argue with you! They got my order wrong three times tonight and I had to practically beg for my white fish. The sauces were wrong and they just seemed like the didn’t care. Hope things get better soon.

My family has stopped by on two separate occasions the first occasion was the grill was down and they didn’t have any fish which how do you not have fish when your Captain D’s the second occasion was no sides. They didn’t have corn ,mac and cheese ,or baked potatoes. it’s not hard to keep account of your stock. I will not be stopping here again.

Drove through on our way back home from Mississippi. We stopped here to eat. ALL of the tables were dirty with food plates or food smeared on them. All workers were standing around gossiping about other workers who were not there. Filthy place. We decided to leave and go across the street to Huddle House. Best decision.!

7-8-19 Came with my son and mother. Mom wanted the oyster and shrimp that was advertised on the tables and I was wanting a 3 piece battered dipped chicken well they don’t have either anymore. Battered dipped chicken is suppose to be advertised until July 10th is what the man in the kitchen came out to tell me when I went to complain about my chicken coming out breaded and not battered. He gave me 2 pieces of fish and an apology. The woman who took my order should have said something when we ordered. Plus the chicken we did get was burned and my son wouldn’t eat it. There is a bunch of false advertising going on in Russellville,AL store 3737 today. If they don’t have the item and is not going to get it they need to take it down.
