At our Greenville, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

My boyfriend and I were at the Greenville Captain D’s for take out, today. The food was really good, but the size of the fish pieces have really gone down. One piece of fish used to be the same size as the two that we had. Plus we would always get the pieces of batter from the fryer. Today we did not get that.

No Captain D’s in my hometown, so when I travel I try to stop in. Loved the experience today. The food was exceptionally good. Busy memorial day weekend, and I went through the drive-through. Everything was so good I even called the manager Sean and let him know how much I enjoyed it.

It was very slow. We used the drive through. I love Captain D’s my problem is with the management. Today there was one lady running the register inside and she also had to run the drive through. There should have been two people. There was a long line of customers inside and the drive through had eight cars sitting and waiting for her to get out orders. Every weekend there should be adequate staff on hand because of high traffic.BTW the young lady/cashier was overwhelmed but she had the best attitude. Watching her work gave me the patience to wait. Broccoli eaten, fish, chicken and an add on of shrimp shared with my husband. Food was hot and freshly made. Pouring rain… stopped at a rest area to enjoy . Sometimes you need a hot meal in the middle of a 6 hour drive, glad I decided on Captain D’s

Poor service by unprofessional childish acting teenagers acting like kids in a daycare play area. More interested in their phones and all their buddies and family hovering around the order area. Fish half cooked and had blackened shady areas through out all pieces. Did not eat. Had nasty tables and service area that had not been cleaned properly. Bathrooms with no tissue and totally filthy. Floors must have been mopped with soured urine mixed water, because of the rank smell. Very disappointed, used to be a decent place to eat and enjoy the Captain D’s Menu.
