At our Prattville, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The men from my church meet here the last Wednesday of each month. The service has improved greatly over the last year. Very friendly personnel taking orders and bringing food to the table with a warm smile. Food is also hot and very tasty. Great manager and staff. 5+ rating.

Now I’m not belittling the two I repeat 2 employees that were on duty today but I am critiquing how their fellow co-workers didn’t show up! That’s not cool people. The fish was great-the whitefish is the best but the new chicken tenders are about the size of your little finger-extremely small-wish I would have seen before I left the drive-thru -I would have sent them back. The picture makes them look great but not so. Even my 12 year old grandson laughed when he saw them!

In town for business and wanted a quick easy meal. Captain D’s never disappoints. The food is always consistent and cooked as intended. The wait staff is inviting and very pleasant. I would like to see a few more caffeine free drink options but that’s only a minor thing. Have been coming to this location for the past 25 years and will continue in the future.

The drive threw is very slow moving. Even when it’s not a lot of cars in the drive threw. They have the slowest drive threw I have ever been to. Also they sell cheese cake but stopped selling the strawberry topping. Who wants a dry cheese cake

Fish was cooked in burnt grease. You could taste the burntness on the fish. It made me sick on the stomache. I returned all the food too only get partial of my order back. I had to re-buy some items, even doe I returned them untouched!!!!
