A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. The service was good. The food was okay. The big spicy fish sandwich wasn’t spicy and could use more sauce and lettuce for the big pieces of fish on the sandwich. They could also maybe add some onion or something else too. Not much flavor or I was expecting more.

My daughter went got us dinner, we decided on Captain D’s after seeing the commercial, because we both like Captain D’s and we both like lobster and we wanted to try the lobster bites, however they look and taste like mini hush puppies they have minuscule lobster meat , and to put icing on the cake the person on the microphone and at the window were rude and would not let my daughter talk, kept rushing her

The experience was terrible. The box of food we were given today had multiple pieces of hair on it. The meal that was given was incorrect, then proceeded to tell me what I ordered was not on the menu when I was looking right at the combo. The took a long time due to them not wanting to fix the issue. I was only passing through here and I will not be returning to this poor customer service.

I arrived at the Captain D’s on the West South Blvd in Montgomery at 10:30 AM, there was a car in the drive thru already. The car ahead of me pulled off and I pulled up. I waited for 5 minutes and repeatedly said “hello” then finally drove to the front and attempted to open the door but it was locked. I knocked on the window and know I saw an employee hurriedly walk to the back. I continued to wait and no one ever came to unlock the door. During this time I witnessed 2 more cars pull up and leave the drive thru. I went around to the drive thru once more and finally decided to leave at 10:47 AM. As I was pulling around the front again I saw an elderly couple knocking on the drive thru window. This is absolutely unacceptable Captain D’s!

You all should be ashamed of yourself. It is 10:44 and you all open at 10:30. I was told by the older lady that they can’t open because “someone had to run somewhere right quick”….. WHAT??????? Like make this make sense. This is unacceptable and it’s literally 4 other cars out here being ignored with no real explanation. That’s my issue. No explanation to what’s going on. I had to knock on the door because they were ignoring our presence. Headed to another restaurant that actually honor and take pride in their customers.

Ordered my food through doordash. Less than 5 minutes after I get the alert that my food was picked up they arrive at my door. They forgot my corn on the cob which I had really wanted. The food was almost just room temperature for it to just been picked up 5 minutes prior. In spite of this the food was good. I will have to order from them again to give them the full 5 stars. I’m just in my feelings about temp and not having my corn on the cob lol

Went to this location on 4/20/2023. The line was a bit long. I wait for at least 10 minutes before the car in front of me drove off. Then another 5 minutes I took off. I really wanted that fish.
