A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This place is the most backwards of any restaurant. The employee needs to learn the menu and how certain things are served. The cook heard us arguing and said she would fix it. Well how she fixed it was lousy and lazy. I got 2 loaded baked potatoes and when you say everything on it, it should be that way. I was served 2 PLAIN baked potatoes. I am so glad I checked my order. And her way of FIXING it was put the cheese and bacon in a bowl. Turns out, it all melted together. I will NEVER eat at the Talladega Captain D’s anymore. And I would really advise you not to. Oh, the kicker NO BUTTER!! They ran out. And they closed early for lack of food. You order something and they were out. How about that for a restaurant?

I was in the area, so I stopped in for lunch today. The place was clean. The workers were courteous. They accepted a 3-year old coupon. My order was ready promptly. The food was hot, and the taste was good. The trip went about as well as it could have possibly gone. This Captain D’s is being run the way one ought to be. Good management.

It’s the same fast food, greasy fish it’s always been. However, they do have grilled options. But, who goes for that? It’s ok if you want a quick meal because you don’t feel like cooking.Be aware, their prices have gone up and you’ll pay about the same as going to a nice restaurant and dining in.

Told them I wanted a plan fish sandwich and that means nothing on it and it even says it on my receipt. So why is it tartar sauce and lettuce all over my fish. This should’ve been the easiest order to make I’m really mad because I don’t eat tarter sauce at all ♂️ ♂️

Tried the new spicy fish and let me tell you it was amazing!!! I loved it, it was hot and fresh, like it was cooked to order. I already love spicy food and fish alone so it was a no brainer to try it right away. Went thru drive thru and not gone lie, it was long but I understood when I got my food because everything I ordered was hot and fresh!! The lady at the window was friendly too, I will be back to try the other spicy meals!
