At our Dothan, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Commercial grease seafood. It was freshly made and hot which is what got 2 stars. Everything tastes the same. Same batter used to fry , same grease with the same seasoning if any seasoning . So your fish or shrimp taste the same. Anything fried and battered has the same taste no difference .So I will most definitely pass.

This is the cleanest restaurant I’ve been to in a long time, including sit down restaurants. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. The dining area and bathroom were spotless. Wish all establishments could be this clean!

Customer service was great, Beverly was very helpful and nice. Food was great except the baked potato needed to be cooked longer it was kinda hard. Will definitely visit this location again.

There wasn’t very many customers when I was there so the service should have been faster. the lady that took our order was brash and seemed like she was in a huge rush. Her irritation was very evident, I asked for extra tartar sauce and got TWELVE! Seems a bit overly sarcastic but maybe, just MAYBE she was just being genuinely generous and wanted to be sure I had enough tartar sauce for my supreme sampler. . . Doubtful, but I’ll stick with that optimistic assumption. The food was so-so. Chicken fingers were tasty but hard, same with the shrimp. The fish was good and the sides were mediocre but the portions were daycare sized.

I’m very disappointed in this caption Ds. I waited about 30 minutes for my food. So I’m thinking we’ll I waited so it will be hot. Nope all was cold. They are so slow and the food is cold. I paid 25.00 for cold food. I won’t go back here again. Someone needs to go in this place and hire some ppl that will work to make sure customers are happy.

The manager of this location is so mouthy and has absolutely zero customer service skills. It’s sad to see such a long time establishment go down hill if headquarters wants to know why please look at your employees. The response was so ugly that I refused to finish my order.

Disgusting. We doordashed tonight and it was disgusting. Everything was old and dried out. The stuffed crab was like saw dust. The hush puppies fell apart, the fried okra was soft soggy and greasy. What an utter disappointment.
