A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Waited 30 minutes for burnt inedible Ocra missing half the things in my meals. Pretty bad when it takes 30 min to get horrible stale food. I ordered an extra side of hush puppies which where not included nor any of the ones that come in the meal already. Customer service is just as bad

I’ve been coming to this place since I was a kid. Back then it was excellent. I stopped in today and the place smells like a football players used cup. They’re always out of drinks, have no sauce what so ever, the employees looked like they wanted to fight me, I had to pay $3.25 for a cup of water because they gave me a kids cup with my meal, and they forgot my girlfriends hush puppies even though she got the same thing I got!!! Whoever the manager of this place is is not doing a very good job at managing. It’ll be a long time before I come back, if I even do!!! #FedUp

Order our food for a pickup 25 minutes before we went. The lobby was closed so we went through the drive thru. The greeting we got was “hold on a minute”. We sat for 10. The lady asked us what we needed and we said we are here for a pick up, she told us to move forward, didn’t ask our name or if we needed anything else, we pull up (nobody behind us) asked to order a gallon of sweet tea and got told to go back around. At that point we said whatever and left with our food. We get home, the food was okay at best. It was not hot, was way over seasoned and my fried oysters were the size of my fingernail. $40 spent on fast food that was cold and greasy and the service was trash. Will NOT be back.

I normally love having dinner with Captain D’s but my last two visits at this location was horrible. The service is very slow, the size of the fish is much smaller ” not much bigger then the hushpuppies” and they don’t package the liquid foods to not spill. I was very disappointed with it all. Had I lived closer to the restaurant I would have returned the food. I will not dine at this location again. They need better management with service all around. Very disappointed after paying almost 30 bucks I could have had a real meal at a fish house and had much better food.

Anytime I have ever gone to this restaurant, I have gone thru drive thru. While you may have to wait a few minutes for your food, it will be fresh. They have never gotten my order wrong! I have always been well taken care of in thru drive thru here. There have even been employees at the drive thru that made me feel like I’m coming home for dinner, and that is so uncommon in most drive-thru situations. The food is delicious. There is plenty of parking. The parking lot is easy to get in and out of. It’s also near several stores and gas stations.

My mom went to order us some food yesterday, my meal was missing fries and my salmon and rice was UNDERCOOKED. I’m pregnant and the rice was so hard it made me SICK!! I WILL be filing with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!

Just not impressed. Food was tollerable. I hate what has happened to Capt’D’s! Used to be a place I loved to go. Nice folks working there though. It was cold and the music not family orientated music and was too loud. And I was told the air could only be changed at corporate. Just not customer friendly.
