At our Antioch, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I came by after a movie around 9 and they told me they were out of spicy fish so I ordered a fish sandwich and they told me they were out of that too apparently they weren’t serving any sandwiches after 9. Seemed like everything I tried to order they didn’t have and I understand it’s late and you guys close in an hour but still. I got to order just a 2 piece fish when I pulled up to the window they told me they didn’t know I ordered anything… sat there for 15 minutes waiting on my order and I was the only one in the drive thru.

Hadn’t been in a long time and the food tasted awful and we couldn’t figure out why until we tried to reheat the leftovers in our air fryer. It wasn’t cooked completely! Once the batter, hush puppies, and stuffed crab finished cooking, they tasted how we remembered..

This is now my preferred Captain Ds. Before, I had some sketchy customer service and ok food. I have visited twice within the past week. I was really impressed with the good service and food earlier this week, so went back again today. Both times Moe served me through the drive thru & checked my order to make sure it was correct. My food was hot fresh and delicious and condiments, utensils and napkins were included. Great service.

Just left the store on Murfreesboro Pike Antioch TN. Wait time was horrible. After waiting 37 minutes food was not fresh. Fries were stale, fried okra was cold. Cole slaw was the only thing hot. This is the worst Captain D’s that I’ve ever had.

Food was fine. Service was horrible. Placed an online order at 7:30 that was supposed to be ready at 7:45. I got there at 7:50. They hadn’t started on my order. I received my order around 8:01. Two customers were waiting when I got there and they too seemed to have had a long wait. One walk in customer came in while I was waiting for my order, he received his order before me and he ordered more. When my order was ready, it was just handed to me with no apology for the wait. Very poor service.

I love Capt D’s. Usually I have just nuisance problems but today was worse. I had to wait..seems a lrg order was ahead of me in drive-thru..ok. Paid for food but was never asked about condiments. Finally got meal and sides were wrong, no fork, and no condiments or napkins. May be last time.

This Captain D’s location has consistently had poor service, employees with attitudes, an extremely slow line and stinky fish. I stopped going for at least 4 or 5 months but drove in tonight because it looked empty and I hoped Captain D’s had made some changes after so many complaints. The food tasted ok but when I got home I realized the girl in the drive through didn’t give me silverware or napkins. I also got a stomach ache afterwards.
