At our Clarksville, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.
Fast-food chain serving fried fish & shrimp combo meals along with gumbo & funnel cakes. Based on 612 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.0 stars. Price $

Yesterday I took my kids inside for dinner, I was honestly shocked at how clean this place was! Super impressive! The food was great and the young girl taking our order was full of personality. We had a great experience!

If I could give a 0 for customer service I would have. These young girls were the rudest people ever. They were laughing at my mother when she was ordering because her speech is slurred sometimes. Then when we got to the window the girls were still laughing and opened up the window to charge us and just handed us the food without saying nothing and closed it. So I proceeded to ask her if that was it and let her know she didn’t have to be rude and she started cursing at me. Like really wow!!!

After taking a break for a from a long drive, I decided to stop here just to get a quick right before I rest. The young lady that took my order, Stevasia, I believe is her name, was very welcoming and extremely friendly. Usually, I do not see this rare type of genuine friendly type of customer service in fast food industries, but she has truly went above and beyond her job description in order to make customers feel comfortable after being on the road for so long. I haven’t gone to a captain d’s and close to 10 years, but the newer items that I wasn’t familiar with she explained them thoroughly and told her preference on the taste of them.

Is it me, or is fast food getting pricey? $18 for some fish, chicken and a side of Okra that had more bread than fish or chicken. I contemplated swiping the paper towels and salt & pepper shaker just to think I got a deal. Meh, it is what it is, and the staff needs better wages. If you don’t want to pay those fast-food prices, make your own, but I’m lazy. TTYL. Bumped them up a star since they did reply =)

Got the new Cajun catfish. It was ok. The breading was to thick. It had a mediocre flavor at best. The sides were great as usual. The lady doing the window was super nice and friendly.

Everything was OK. People were exceptionally nice. Toilet area was good and clean as was the lobby area. Food was tasty. Fries could have been a bit crisper. Pepsi was excellent. I think it is much better than coke. I will NEVER drink coke again.
