At our Gallatin, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Went through the drive through, it took about 30 minutes in line but once the line of cars got to moving we were good. The food was off the chain. Didn’t get to take a pic, it was gone in no time.

Captains D’s is good on certain days. Some days I go an the food is fresh, an tastes wonderful it’s all warm just perfect. Then other days like for dinner lastnight. I went got a two piece fish dinner an the fish was over cooked so bad that it was crunchy all the way through an hard. The fish use to be meaty an juicy, taste nice. But now it’s crunchy, has more fried breading then fish. The hush puppies use to be larger now they are smaller. The fries was cold an hard, had no salt or anything an if your like me cold fries doesn’t taste good. Again this is just my opinion as a customer. Thanks

Updated review: This was my 2nd time trying Captain D’s hot fish and I love this addition to the menu. The spice level is moderately kicked up a notch but not overdone. My meal was fresh, but as usual, expect a lengthy wait in the drive thru.

I ordered online before I left work at 4:15. The online app said it would be teadynby 4:29. I arrived exactly at 4:29 and went thru the drive thru as there wasn’t any instructions on the online order app. The guy told me to.pull up to the window. Ofcourse, I had to wait for two cars in front of me that were waiting on their food for 20 minutes. Then when i finally made it to the window to pick up my order the guy asked me if I had the spices fish. I explained to him I had the online order so he got my name. He checked and came back and told me that they made the wrong dam order then asked me to pull forward. I told him to get my unsweet tea while I waited. I’m currently still waiting and getting more passed by the dam second. Why in the he’ll even have am online order option if they are so incompetent in the first place. It was an 55 dollar order so it obviously is gonna take them a long time to male it. Every time i come here they take at least am hour of my time. I wish every dam employee gets sick and had a bad day.

Food was cold. Cooks are very unsanitary never washed after walking around in restaurant ask to speak to manager about kids licking salt and pepper shakers come to find out they were an employees kids.will not be back again
