At our Murfreesboro, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The Captain D’S that I took my family to we won’t go to it again. The one that I took my family to was on Church ST, Murfreesboro, TN. We were planning on eating our food in the restaurant. They didn’t put our food on trays. They put the food in take away bags. The food was very expensive. The cost of the food I should’ve taken them to Yoki Buffet.

When I first heard a new D’s was coming on South Church, 5 minutes from my home, oh boy, I was absolutely ecstatic! First chance I got I made the short drive and ordered my 4 piece fish with fried okra and fries, and of course tons of vinegar. After the first bite I was HOOKED! I usually don’t eat the sides at any restaurant, but I gobbled mine and that’s saying something.

We waited 5 mind before we were served as the front cashier was taking a smoke break in the back. The cook looked right at us and said nothing. Food was hot but they need to work on customer service

My wife and I got here during the last hour before closing, and I wondered if that would affect our service. Turns out, not at all! The cashier was insanely awesome and took the time to answer any questions we had. Our food was out quickly and was perfectly done. I loved the new look of the dining area and everything worked great. We’ll definitely be back!
