At our Murfreesboro, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I just left this location today May 1 around 5:30 PM. When I placed my order in the drive-through they asked me if I wanted any condiments I did want one type of condiment – when I got my order there were none of the condiments in the bag so I had to wait at the window till she noticed me and ask for that – no biggie but then I was taking the food to the park had no napkins no utensils nothing. I have never had a problem at this location before but for them not to put the basics in the bag it’s pretty pitiful.

Everything was just horrible. Food was old and cold. My tea was full of ice and tasted like they ran out of tea and just added water and alot of ice just to fill my cup. A total waste of $20 had to throw my whole meal away and was left still hungry. Staff didn’t even talk to you at the window just stuck they hand out for your payment and handed you the food. I do not recommend eating here.

You would think going a little over 30 minutes after opening, the food would be fresh and taste worth the price you are paying for it, but that is not the case. Today, we went at 11ish. The battered fish was just ok. The fries were an utter disappointment as they tasted like they were leftovers from the day before they just decided to reheat and serve today. The drinks were filled to the brim with ice, so we got very little liquid. Complete waste of money today.
