At our Murfreesboro, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Speaker in drive through is terrible, makes communication difficult. Too few options at the speaker. Fish was greasy. I wish I lived closer to the Cason Lane store. I have had better luck with them. I know. The answer is to go there.

Good Captain D’s if a quick seafood meal is what you’re craving. There’s always a small line in the drive-through, which is what we normally do. I wish they would keep lobster rolls on the menu in perpetuity; they didn’t have them my lady visit (June 2023). We love those! Also, they can serve you an extra large side of okra with your meal… you’re welcome!

The two times I’ve been there since I moved to Murfreesboro, they have been amazing! Food is always good and fresh. Although, you may have to wait an extra 10-15 mins for your food. Which is never a big deal for me, as we always get the family 10 piece. They’re also nice, although when I had to go in the other night to get some vinegar, I asked for it, and the gentleman at the counter didn’t acknowledge me, until he handed me a bag of vinegar.

I love captain d’s in mcminnville I had one bad experience with a girl there since we’ve moved to morrison,tn she told me I wasn’t allowed to get more than one order of cracklins even if I tried paying for an extra order she said no.. but I ask the next time I went and the other girls said I was allowed to get what I want they couldn’t believe I was told that. they’ve been so sweet and friendly since then I haven’t seen that other girl that gave me an issue anymore so idk if she quit or what..but there customer service is great and I love there food so much

I don’t think I’ve ever had a good experience at this location. Every time we go, there is some issue. The employees are usually rude. They always miss something in my order and last night there were two other people that had to go in and get something the drive thru missed while I was still there waiting on my missed items. The building is also really run down. The speaker and menu outside look terrible and unkempt. The food is very greasy and salty which may just be a fast food thing I guess. The lobster rolls, while the box was covered in grease, were actually really good. And my last comment is don’t expect to get in and out pretty quick. They definitely take their time here and make sure to doubke check your order before you leave their parking lot.
