At our Smyrna, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Got my order wrong at a slow time with about 5 people working there. So no labor issues to blame and no good reason to give me the wrong order. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo with coleslaw and fries this is what I got.

Placed an order online to pick up. I ordered 2 loaded baked potatoes that I didn’t receive when I went back inside to get them and more tarter sauce I was told they didn’t have any potatoes and also now out of tarter sauce . No one bothered to inform me they replaced my potatoes with fries and I didn’t recieve a refund either, the loaded potatoes have an up charge .

I understand the wait time since my food was fresh but come on. Girl had me pull up to the window to order. She read my order back perfectly. 15 min later, I get all but one of the sides I ordered. I was the only one in the drive thru for the first 7 min when this happened. Wack. This one is on the staff.

I’ve written a review and regards to this same location before and it was the first time I went on a Thursday last week. It was pretty good and I had a great experience, but then there was a miscommunication about the fried pickles ended up being chips instead of spears and every time I go now it’s at least 20 minutes of a wait and the food I have gotten was not fresh. The gumbo is lukewarm (considered cold?) And the breadsticks were never as soft and fresh like the first time I had it. It’s unfortunate. So I will probably go elsewhere
