At our Springfield, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Food is overly priced. Drinks should be included in meals at the price they are charging. Mac and cheese tasted like dish soap. Fries were cold and the attitude of the employees ain’t even worth eating there. They act like you are bothering them when you tell them food was wrong or missing. I heard more of the kitchen staffs conversation vs the own at my table. Highly dissatisfied. Won’t be wasting my money here when there’s plenty of places that will make the food wayyyy better for less.

The food was much better than I had imagined. Our table had lemon pepper salmon, blackened tilapia, popcorn shrimp, corn, broccoli, breadstick, Oreo cheesecake, and more. The staff was very friendly. Room for improvement is to make it smell better upon entering the establishment and the table we sat at was slightly sticky but the food and staff made the good experience for me!

Its a great place, service is always top notch. Could you please add a vegetable plate to your menu, like Russellville Kentucky has, a 3 vegetable plate or 4 vegetable plate, at an affordable price, say $7.00 like they have??? Today I just had corn on the cob about 6 inches long, an average sized baked potato, an order of mac and cheese in a tiny to go container, and an order of broccoli in a tiny to go container, for $13.46, horribly expensive and over priced!!! The people who work here are fantastic, really great service, but the portions are really small on many items. If I want children’s portions I would order from the child menu, big men need bigger portions. Please make some changes asap so we can continue eating here. Thank you so much and God bless you! Ordered food, my grilled food was good but my husband’s food was ice cold. They offered to redo food then we waited anther 10 minutes for that food by then my husband was so upset, he just told them to keep the food because I was eating my food while he was still waiting for his food to be remade.

Food was great, but prices are way too expensive. Haven’t been to Captain Ds in a while, but prices have jumped considerably. $31 for 2 people to have lunch is a bit much. Restaurant was swarming with gnats.

The food was good but the service wasn’t so good! I say this because it wasn’t busy @ the time I went through the drive thru but the service was slow. Yet they still forgot some of my order! I went through the drive thru again!! When I got home, I realized they hadn’t put the extra sauce I requested in my bag! Don’t like eating fish w/o tartar sauce!!

I prefer seafood over beef or pork so Captain Ds just fit right. We’ve been to 3 states today on the road. This is the cleanest Captain Ds I’ve encountered. And grilled salmon is available while others it’s almost always out. Counter person is also polite and friendly and plated meal is presented neatly
