A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. As much as we love Captain D’s, I must share our disappointment tonight. We just left Captain D’s in Hixson and went somewhere else. We drove 15 minutes out of the way to eat there, only to be told the district manager is having them close the lobby an hour and a half early to get some stuff done. I’m all for cleaning and maintaining everything correctly, but this was disappointing. I must add, the young man that greeted us was very nice and apologetic. And while I’m at it, why not just shut it down for however long needed and do a major deep cleaning and for the love of God, FIX YOUR PARKING LOT!

Well I can say the service was good. The young man knew a lot about their food. The food itself was not fresh. You could tell the food was sitting under the light or redropped the fish in the grease, so would it be a little warmer. The hush puppies were not fresh at all they were hard and cold. I normally love their hush puppies, but not today. The shrimp was not warm it was just like just there.

My family just picked up some more Captain’s D’s again. We just picked up some last Sunday around noon. Something delicious , and special must be going on lol. It is every weekend Senior Citizen discounts . Man ! Those older folks are rolling up in there by the car loads. I have not seen any young folks much at all. Well in order to receive it , I am sure identification is required . Otherwise do like a lot of young folks send in an older person . I’ve personally prefer the catfish fillets, and pecan pie for dessert . You guys are popular! Keep doing what y’all are doing . I am going to give you five . Otherwise your parking lot needs a make over. This however has nothing to do with your . It’s causing a lot of bumps and possibly damage to your customer’s vehicles. Some might just decide to go elsewhere. They will thank you guys even more. I love Chatt Town Mr.C.

Seafood at a reasonable price in a recently upgraded dining area. Coupons are readily available 4 a variety of different meals. Their food is consistently good and served hot which would indicate they prepare your order after you place it. Wednesday nights are senior nights with special prices for senior citizens. Service Personnel are usually friendly and helpful. They do not serve Coke products. Sunday is also a seniors day with special prices for seniors. Their french fries are nothing to write home about and are not on a par with their other products.

Had to wait quite a while for the food. Didn’t mind that, thinking they had to prepare fresh food. what I got was soggy cold fries and small cold chicken strips. Ended up returning it and going to Zaxbys instead.I hadn’t been to a Captain D’s in many years and wont be returning any time soon.
