At our Jackson, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. I received horrible service on 08/26/23. They were slow, the inside was not open, my order was wrong. I had to ask for a refund because they acted liked they didn’t want to remake it. I will never return to this location. I already reached out via the website on 8/26 to provide a comment & haven’t received a follow up so I had to post a review to get a response.

I really wish we could leave 0 stars on here. The lady that took our order was RUDE for lack of better terms. She had nasty attitudes with several customers. I think she’s the manager. She must live by her “trust no ni*** trust no bi***” tattoo because she’s literally the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in an establishment. She needs to be fired.

If you care about how your food is prepared I wouldn’t recommend eating at this location. Upon sitting in the long line I placed our order online for the white fish with shrimp skewers, green beans and okra. My husband had the 3pc spicy battered fish with corn and a potato and when I received it, my fish and okra were NOT cooked thoroughly, the green beans had a glob of what looked like partially cooked bacon in it and was missing my shrimp skewer and was clearly rushed/thrown together so I went to get my refund and upon getting back in the truck my husband said he only had 1 spicy fish and the other two were original…..not what was ordered. Check your food before you leave any drive-thru people because a person will give you what they want you to have and not what you order.

The fish sandwich was delicious. I liked the hush puppies and they were better dipped in tarter sauce. The sweet tea was disappointing though. The sign says 20oz but the cup was 12oz.
