A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Well yesterday was my first time hitting up this captain d’s. Service was great, it wasn’t busy, imma still give it a 5star because it was good. Although Within two hours of leaving I got bad sick, and I’m still sick. Dr said food poisoning. It didn’t take long to get our food, I dunno if it’s pre cooked or cooked fresh and I’m not sure if someone just didn’t wash their hands and I touched something contaminated, or if something wasn’t fully done and I just didn’t notice it. I had the seafood platter, the one with chicken, fish, and shrimp side of steamed broccoli and okra. Didn’t eat the hush puppies cause I don’t like hush puppies and didn’t finish my fish cause I got full. I hadn’t ate nothing prior or after. It sucks cause todays Father’s Day and I didn’t get to spend it with my dad but I ain’t gonna lay blame, anyone can make a simple mistake, and at some point someone somewhere will end up getting food poisoning at least once in their life. Hopefully it’ll pass soon. Keep up the friendly service.

2 pc catfish dinner with 2 sides. Catfish pcs were so small I couldn’t believe it. I would have taken it back, but got it “to go” because I was on the road, traveling south to FL. I would have been embarrassed to serve this to a customer.

First time I went food was nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. I was very happy. Second time I went I am very disappointed, nothing was seasoned and very dry, a waste of money because I couldn’t even finish it. I’m not sure if it depends on what you order or who is cooking it because they were two different meals. Cheesecake is always a good flavor but that’s because they didn’t make it, it’s from the Cheesecake Factory but somehow they still overcooked it and that was dry, so I’m assuming now they don’t just dethaw it. So also eat that at your own risk if it will be a good day for them or not.
