At our Nicholasville, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Our food was great! They are currently running a special where you get the giant fish sandwich combo for $5.99 (regular price is $6.99). The combo includes a giant fish sandwich, which comes with 2 fish filets, tartar sauce, and lettuce on a bun, one side item of your choice, and a drink. I think it’s a really good value for the money. The service was fast and friendly. My only complaint was that there were quite a few dirty tables that needed to be wiped down, but I believe it was because they were short staffed. We will definitely be back soon.

The children working there are completely unsupervised. The workers were running around and yelling like it was a playground. The entire restaurant was dirty, the seats were greasy, some tables were not even wiped off and the place was empty except for the girl who appeared to be sleeping in the corner by the restrooms. The floors were sticky and i could hear my shoes on the floor. The owner of this business should spend some time there.

Baked potato costs extra. Mine was not cooked thoroughly, mostly uneatable. Country catfish all breading and overcooked. 2 butters for 2 baked potatoes? Would Never eat here again. $34.71 for what we got is crazy.

If baked potato and corn on cob are “Premium Sides”, they should be a premium size. I wouldn’t have paid $2 extra for what I got. And then blocked my email when I sent them an email to their requested address for reviews.

Was turned away from eating inside at 7:25 pm because I wouldn’t have time to eat before they close at 8pm. Keep in mind this is fast food. As a GM of a fast food chain it’s common sense you don’t turn guest away more than a half hour before close. I know good staffing is hard to come by but surely you can find better management.
