At our Paducah, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The staff was very unhelpful when asked the cheapest way to get extra fish. They went as far as to telle their was no way to get any extra fish. Not even purchasing them. The general manager was very rude to my wife for being in bathroom under 5 minutes. We were timing this by the way for a customer service inspection we were paid for. This is what i got for 18 dollars

Unbelievable!!! 2 cars ahead on me, took more than a half hour to get the thru the drive thru. No apology nothing and the line of cars behind me wrapped around the building to the street. Good luck to them.

The manager forgot to hand us back our card and we didn’t realize until we were an hour and a half away. When we called to ask she said we dined and dashed. She won’t give us our card without paying for the food, but we can’t even make it there before closing time at this point. We eventually pay for our food and get our card and were assured the charges on our card didn’t go through. The charges went through. So, she accused us of theft, then double charged us.

The food order is incorrect takes a very bland most of all it tasted the same like it all use the same oil my brother had chicken I have fish and shrimp not worth it at all I was shorted, a fish and a couple shrimp. I do not recommend this place.

Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Went through the drive thru and was told to park and they would bring my food right out. 15 minutes later I go inside to check on my food. There was a line at the register and no cashier in site. After 5 minutes someone finally came up to the register. I informed her I had waited a long time and would just like a refund. The girl told me my food was right there so I just had to take my food and that she wouldn’t give me a refund. I end up leaving with the food because I didn’t want to argue only to get half way home and realize I was given the wrong food all together.

I was kinda disappointed in the food yesterday, didn’t seem near as good as it has been in the past. Batter dipped fish was just so-so, fries not crisp (kinda tough, actually), hush puppies were smaller and also kinda tough. Slaw was ok, and the sweet tea seemed to be the same as always.

This used to be one of my favorite places, it’s definitely went down hill. Took way too long to get our food, food was over cooked, taste of food wasn’t there. We used to get a grilled chicken dinner, with grilled vegetables. Now, no longer have that, and what we got just isn’t good to me. Employees were nice, just didn’t care for the food or time to get it.

My friend & I had the lobster bites, shrimp, & fish for $5.99 + added a drink. The fried shrimp was crisp & tasty, the fish was pretty good, & the lobster bites were just ok. It all seemed a little bland. My broccoli & baked potato were cold & the so-called butter just sat on the potato & broccoli like a big glob of lard. Not that great of an experience overall. Prices were good, service was very good, but taste of food just so-so. An associate did come around once & asked if we were good. We said yes, bc we hated to ruin her day & she was so nice.
