At our Leitchfield, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I was pleasantly pleased when we walked in, there was a very friendly smiley teenage girl. It was 8:45pm and they close at 9. We were the only ones there. We were still served with a pleasant additud and told to take our time eating, they didn’t mind since they had cleaning to do yet. The food was wonderful, hot and fresh!

This place needs to update their hours. And what happened to working until closing time everyday? I mean ok so business is a little slow so y’all just close up. A couple months ago it was they closed between 9-10 depending on business well it was 8:30 tonight and they was closed and informed me they close between 8-9 depending on business. SMH

This is one of the best places to eat in Leitchfield. The food is always hot and fresh. They never skimp on portions. The restaurant is always nice and clean. The staff is nice and friendly. They will come around and ask you if you need a refill and get it for you. I’ve never had a single issue eating here. Love this place!

It was good. The fish was beautifully cooked and all white meat and now they have an amazing spicy filet. They also have a varied menu. It’s one of the best places to eat in Leitchfield as far as fast food. Staff is great, they are fast, and it’s great for a change from a burger.

There is some room for improvement sure but overall fantastic experience every time. This day, I didn’t get hush puppies, though, and that upset my daughter. I ordered them. I just assume they went to someone else because I was in drive thru.
