At our Zanesville, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I’d heard such good things about the place so I was excited to try it. I got the gumbo and fried okra. My partner got the butterfly shrimp with hush puppies Cole slaw and steamed broccoli. The most meh seafood I’ve ever had. My attitude had more salt and spices than anything we ordered. Like even by fast food standards it wasn’t good. It was fairly cheap tho. $18 for everything.

Waited for a while and was wondering why the food was not coming out finally the cashier came out and said what did you order and then told me that they must have lost our order!! So went back and after awhile brought out the food. Just not a good visit. We haven’t gone to a captain D’s for years and may not again
