At our Fairfield, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We call this place Belly Busters jokingly. Food tastes really, really good with the fish being the standout star of the show. But, after a meal, I feel like I’ve eaten an epic amount of food when I haven’t really. The hush puppies are nice but are super dense.

Very sad. I asked for a 2 piece fish meal, told they had okra, but when arriving at the window they said all they had were fries. Then i asked for country style but this poor fish was burnt to a crisp as well as no larger than my pinky. Wouldn’t recommend this location as its filled with kids.

If you show up anytime after 8:30pm they won’t take your order. Second time this has happened. The person trusted with their restaurant, just walks around the place looking at his phone. Cars pull in, cars pull off. This last time we tried at 8:40pm, wouldn’t even answer the drive thru or the window. If you close early just say it. Only even attempted cuz the kids ask, not many around by the time we get there, ignored. Suggestion for the owners, pay someone decent. Find a way to exchange money for food during the dinner shift. Ended up giving our money to another establishment.

The food I ordered was fresh and good, but the customer service I received from Braxton…. Yikes! That was a 2.5 in my opinion bc she appeared friendly… Here is my issue- If I place my cc in your hand, it only makes sense (to me) that you use the same courtesy and place my card back in my hand- especially when I’m extending my hand to receive it back that way. Then, I watched as another customer- older male handed her cash for his order and his change was placed back in his hand. Don’t lay customers cards on the counter please.

I’m so mad I spent 44 dollars for my family to have a dinner and the fish was exactly how this picture looks nasty and old!! The green beans were like they opened the can and placed directly in our containers I contacted them haven’t got a response back! On top of my food being old they had me in line for over 15 mins just to hand me this nasty dinner I’m done with them! I will take my 45 dollars else where! My kids husband and myself couldn’t eat it we had to figure out something else to eat for the evening
