At our Huber Heights, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This location is unusually slow, but I think they may be understaffed. Maybe not. This 2 piece meal looked perfect. The fish was very hot. But the Mac n cheese was cold, not even lukewarm, as well as the hushpuppies. I ate the fish and one hush puppy. Waste of money. Cars frequently leave the drive thru line due to it being so slow, as we have as well. And the employee…. I hope she finds something that makes her smile. The vibe felt like a prison cafeteria line. 🙁 4 stars, because we usually get great friendly service and food here. This just wasn’t one of those times.

This location has totally been neglected… hasn’t been cleaned in 20 years. I wonder if the other locations are this filthy …..no telling what the kitchen looks like I’ll never eat here again.

Went through the drive thru and ordered a fish dinner. First, the cashier didn’t give me my change and walked away. I had to ask the other person for it. I got a chicken dinner instead. When I went back, they were very rude and complained that I had taken a bite of a piece of chicken. They only replaced the chicken for fish, leaving me with cold fries.

My order was simple but there was a mix up. I was overcharged a couple bucks, but i was drinking, so didn’t care. My food was right, hot and fresh. They seem to be back to their better chicken, which made me happy. don’t forget the sweet and sour sauce, it’s everything.

Fish tasted as if it had been fried in old oil. Fries were soggy. Hush puppies were bland. Soft drink was good. Service was good. She was all alone running front counter and drive thru and doing a good job with orders

Stopped in for a bite on a Friday evening. Tried “The Big Fish Sandwich”. Tasted as I expected considering it is two pieces of their battered fish within a large bun. Drawbacks…it is hard to eat due to being two pieces of fish, you take a bite and one of the fish pieces falls out of the sandwich. It can be a little annoying when trying to eat.
