At our Festus, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. First time getting food here and it was pretty bland. Got the salmon meal and it came with the rice as pictured– the dryness level of this rice is a choking hazard I mean come on now. They also forgot to season the salmon with lemon pepper, made me rethink if my taste buds were working properly.

You should really advertise what you cook your fish and what not in, people have allergies and tho red meat is a rarer one, it should be taken just a serious. Frying fish in a beef by product should be advertise.

It would of been nice to know that Captain D’s fries most of there food in beef fat, as my husband is allergic to beef and most red meats and is having an allergic reaction. He’ll be alright, but I just feel like it’s something that needs to be advertised for future instances.

Fish and hush puppies were excellent. Green beans no longer have the ham and onions, very flavorless, served cold as well as the Mac and cheese served cold. Very disappointing. Malt vinegar taste better from the bottle, not plastic. Miss the real silverware also.

I’ve been going here for years and loved it we came in today for our order and and they told them our order was this not that and they put it on our residence that we order slaw when we order fries then got all sassy saying it was our fault while we waited my mother had to use the bathroom and she came out of the bathroom just as fast as she when in saying there was pee and something on the toilet seat very unclean bathrooms

Stopped twice recently and both times they was very busy with minimal workers and we got our food fast and everything was correct. Very good staff in this place. 5 stars from me. Great food also!! I almost didn’t get this picture I dug in so fast.
