A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I’m from NC I live in San Antonio and this was the closest location I ordered the ultimate seafood platter and it was all bread battered half cooked very greasy I got there around 9:20 pm and I went to the drive thru all I know how to describe the person is she had big breast small lady I came July 28,2023 her attitude was good and u would think my food would have been great it was very very very greasy batter tasted uncooked garlic shrimp and popcorn shrimp taste frozen with freezer burn hush puppies looked like they were cooked 2 hrs prior it’s just a shame why would ppl want someone to eat wat they wouldn’t eat I drove wasted gas and I literally spent almost $25 order was $21 and some change I bought my grandson the 2 piece shrimp meal and his food was wasted because it was not done the battered fish r shrimp but let me tell u lady God gonna fix it in the name of Jesus because of your wrongdoing on how you treat ppl I will be back that way some day when I see you I want my money back and f?? the food I’m also calling your manager today baby which is the July 29 you shall get reported I need to call corporate on u don’t let me go there just have my mulah baby

If you’re craving some fried fish and hush puppies, Captain D’s will do you right. LJS restaurants are hard to find, but we indulged in a once-a-year nostalgic greasy lunch today. The spicy fish was good. Fried shrimp was nice with red sauce. Don’t bother with the chicken. I’m pretty sure the chicken strips were at least one notch below school cafeteria grade. And I’m not even going to guess what they were thinking when they whipped up that first batch of Captain D’s Sauce. For sure, that’s a scarier story than I can take.

To be honest it’s pretty average fare. I kind of put it on par with Long John silvers. Crab cakes. But they tasted okay. Honestly though the shrimp are tiny. The fish is the exact same thing that you get at Long John silver but it was the best thing on the plate they were pretty tasty. They also have a new lobster roll which honestly leaves a lot to be desired very little meat and there about 3 in Long.

Came here a month ago it was great service an food as we are sitting here today on mother’s day the service was complete trash the three ladies working acted like the expense was coming out of there pocket when asked to substitute more fish since yall was out of chicken on the sampler platter not to mention they completely forgot about the shrimp on the two platters. Should get a half of star for service other then that the food was good

Exactly what I expected at a fast food fish place. They could have used another counter person. They only had one person waiting on the front counter, and the drive thru, and bringing trays out to the customers, and wiping down tables.
