A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Service were quick and friendly. This is one of my mom’s favorite place. Pricing is reasonable and we love how they change up their specials! Their rewards programs is decent and they do pretty well in regards to keeping the restaurant presentable and clean.

Excellent food for what it is- fast food seafood. If you come here expecting the same level of seafood from Don’s or Duke’s, you’ll be highly disappointed. The Deluxe Seafood Platter is $8.99 and there is plenty of food on the plate. The service was fast and friendly and we were checked on several times during our meal. I highly recommend this location!

The service has been spectacular every time I come here. The employees are kind, helpful, and accommodating. I love the battered cod and the hush puppies!!! I always receive hot fresh food. The portions are good and the food is delicious. I highly recommend!!!

Food was awesome. Was our first time there and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. You get plenty food for your dollar. Where else can you get a seafood platter for $9.00 and love everything on it?! Staff also friendly and they bring your food to your table for you when it’s ready. Very clean restaurant.

Great people and good prices but not to wowed with the food. The Hush Puppies needed more time in the fryer. The fish was a little doughy around the outside. The sides of the dish lacked flavoring. Besides that I liked it.

Food was horrendous. Not one single item could be considered good. The fried shrimp and fish were as bland as I have ever eaten and they were the best things we had. Walmart has better popcorn shrimp. Took over 40 minutes to get the order and 20 more to get out of the poorly designed parking lot. The manager was rude to my wife and apparently unable to grasp the concept of a $50 order requiring more than one box. Save your money and time. Captain D’s deserves neither.

The food is good, especially for fast food, but every time I go I end up having to pull up and wait at a side door for 10 to 15 minutes. I am literally in the line right now and it has been almost 10 minutes. There are no cars behind me.
