My mom and I went here with family and we had an extremely good time!!! We were joking and laughing and having fun with other tables around us and the staff. Our waiter, Matt, was phenomenal. His spirit and attitude was everything is should be and more! We never had to ask him to refill a drink or to empty our bucket. Before we even knew what to ask for, he had already taken care of us. We talked to the manager and praised him, only to find out he is a new hire of only 3 weeks!!! They have definitely found an excellent employee and I hope they continue to treat him right! It’s rare to find good service let alone excellent service. Keep up the good work Matt!

I came from PA with my two daughters and granddaughter ( which is 5months) to eat here on the 30th of April. The price was okay on Sundays before 4pm so that was great. But some of the food items could have been better. The steam shrimps weren’t cleaned out, the staff was hiding something in the corner by the serving door. And when I looked over they walked off fast. The non-food items could have been better like the steak was in water or sauce unsure. And they needed to stay on top of replacing items quicker because I hated go back to my seat and waiting then getting up after I just sat down. But all in all it was busy and crowded so I will positively come back if they offer Groupons or coupons to bring everyone with me. Because it is very pricey for a large group.

We came for the buffet since they had All-You-Can-Eat Snow Crab Legs! They ask if you want one or two clusters when you walk up to the buffet, but you can come back for more! They were a lot of work, but so delicious. Lastly, we tackled the dessert bar – so many choices! I think the Carrot Cake and the Strawberry Cheesecake were my personal favorites. Larry did a great job, even brought me a bowl of She Crab soup to try!

I’ve eaten my way across most of the United States. Outside of the buffet at the Bellagio in Vegas, Captain George’s is just the BEST buffet I have ever been to. Three buffets, basically, covering surf and turf and a whole heap o’ dessert. I’m in Williamsburg every once in a great while and I make it a mission to get to George’s when I’m in town. It’s pricier than a typical buffet because it’s BETTER.

This was my first time at a Captain George’s and it was great! The service was excellent right out of the gate. It appears they divide tables up amongst servers so they aren’t overloaded, which allows for their undivided attention. The food was amazing. All the seafood was fresh, cooked to perfection and I liked how they designated lines to keep everyone in an equal flow. It is in a historic atmosphere. Perhaps a bit out dated, but nice. Wonderful place to eat if you are a seafood buff. Enjoy!
