No frills order at the counter, Styrofoam container seafood. Indoor seating. Place was clean, food was hot. Got fried shrimp and oyster platter. Good deal on the shrimp – tails on, decent amount. Good sized shrimp, not heavy battered. Oysters were good again, a decent amount. Hush puppies and Cole slaw. Free tea refills.

I stopped coming to captain hooks because the people were very rude and inconsiderate. They have since gotten either new people or a new owner, and it’s a much nicer atmosphere, and a much better meal experience. I only had a grilled shrimp salad but it was wonderful. The produce was crisp and tasted good and it was clean and the shrimp was very well seasoned.

Ordered the shrimp and oyster po-boy sandwich. The bread was light and flaky. A good sandwich overall. Free refills on fountain drinks and staff was friendly.

The shrimp po-boy was excellent although it definitely could have used a lot less lettuce and a little more shrimp. The shrimp were seasoned well and the onion rings we’re fantastic. And thank goodness they don’t overcharge for a can of soda (only .99). I will definitely return.

This place was awesome. I ordered 1-lb boiled shrimp and they were seasoned perfectly. My husband ordered a roast beef po-boy and he said it was perfect. It had just the right amount of gravy. It wasn’t running everywhere, but it was just enough. And it wasn’t too salty. He thought it was perfect. I will definitely go back, and we have told several people about it. I hope they try it.

My shrimp poboy was okay. My friend got boiled shrimp that were over cooked to the point ther were just mush. They were inedible. It also took over 35 minutes to get a few shrimp on a plate that were already cooked and ready
