The place feels like a much larger restaurant couldn’t keep up with the customer base and captain jays is on the big side of party atmosphere or dine in crowd but haven’t capitalized on it. Very much ready for 50-60 occupants. I will be back to see how they grow into this location as they’ve grown into the local community popping up so many locations in such a small amount of time. The level of service seems to vary from location to location but that’s going to be almost anywhere in good service what matters is the food good and is it clean and they’ve hit the mark on both.

There were 2 cars ahead of me and it took them 20 minutes to get to me. I ordered the Large Shrimp (6 pieces) & Tilapia (2 pieces) Combo for $15.99. I waited 15 minutes for my order with 2 cars waiting behind. When I got home I was disappointed. The tilapias was very thin, bland and undercooked. The shrimp was underwhelming as well. I felt the food was NOT worth the wait or the value. I will NOT be returning here!

Best Experience I’ve had in a while at a fast food place! The cashier Jalaya made me want to come everyday lol. She was so sweet and professional! And my chicken was so fresh and was fried exactly to my liking! Most Definitely will be back soon keep up the good work!

Super average fish place. Prices seem fair. I got perch, tilapia, hush puppies, and mac and cheese Food was ok, a little plain for my taste. Mac and cheese was pretty good.

New Captain Jay’s location. Had the shrimp, chicken and the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese wasn’t very hot when I got it, but the noodles were al dente and had good flavor. The shrimp and chicken was very hot and good. The restaurant didn’t remove the bar from the previous restaurant, which made the layout a little strange, but it was clean. Quick service, the order only took about 8 to 10 minutes. I’ll try it again once they are a little more established to make sure they keep up the quality.

I was surprised with the food here. I wanted some fried catfish and discovered that a Captain Jay’s was in my neck of the woods. The fish was bland and not fried hard as I requested. It’s definitely not like the location I visit in Detroit. The okra was lukewarm and the fries were decent. I think 2 of these stars are for the service. I went through the drive through and she was pleasant. I wouldn’t return to this location, but now I can say I tried it.

The cashier has served our food, though she was busy she make time to send our food to our table. GOD BLESS HER and her heart. The place was a little dark since a lot of people are just picking up orders and not eating inside, felt gloomy if only they are near to my place I would have come often. Chicken was good.

I called in a large order. I was told it would take 15-30 mins to prepare. I waited abt 20 minutes to leave my house, I had a 15 min drive there. I got there and was told the order was never prepared. They took my order, wrote it down, and left it sitting on a counter. I wasn’t happy. I was then told it would take 30 mins to prepare my order. I got the feeling they wanted me to say forget it, but I decided to wait. I waited about another 20 mins, and I was told the order was ready. I paid and I left with the food. I was disappointed with the service and the lack of care. The food was good but I don’t think I will order from them again.

I ordered food for the 2nd time at the Wayne Rd location. The 1st time the wait was approximately 35 to 40 minutes. I ended up taking the food of the car that drove off in front of me because I was told my fish that I ordered was not available once I got to the window so I took whatever was available. I tried again today and it took 10 minutes to take my order. I had to call the restaurant and ask if the drive thru ordering was not working. After my order was taken I waited an additional 40 minutes in line behind 2 cars. At the window I was told my food order was not ready I drove off and got food from the Wendy’s next to it. The food is usually good so I’m hoping they get extra help with food orders.
