We chose this restaurant for a small family get together- party of 6- based on the reviews and location. We arrived and upon walking in it appeared to be closed. The main dining room looks completely shut down and they are only using the bar area of the restaurant. We were seated promptly and waitress said she’d be right back. 15 min later we had no menus or drinks. It appeared that the waitress was the only one working in the front- waiting tables, bartending, and bussing. I wouldn’t recommend for dining in. We ultimately left and went to Squids 6 miles away and had a lovely meal

Food was alright, I took issue with the menu stating any “Seafood Platter” comes with a house salad, but when I ordered the “Fisherman’s platter” a $19.00 plate, I was told that it did not count as a seafood platter. I found that to be very misleading. Servings were just shy of appropriate. Atmosphere was lousy as customers come in hollering at the bartender, friends I assumed as they greeted each other.

The waitresses were very nice. Little rough around the edges but very nice/willing to help. The food on the other hand was pretty rough.. the clam chowder was really bad. The fried food was really subpar. The best thing they brought out was the free hush puppy rings. Food is bad, which is unfortunate, I will not be going back

It’s a local family business alright! My favorite and most well-priced seafood in the area, specially given the big portions. And the fried chicken is the BEST! I could tell they were a little understaffed but I don’t blame em in this economy, John’s wife Maria was attentive and friendly regardless! Bar was a fun atmosphere
