The Fab Forty
If there is one thing I love doing during the Summer in Rhode Island, it’s finding a good place to eat that has outdoor seating, and it’s a huge plus if it’s on the water. Captains Resto-Bar is a newer place, it used to be the County Cork. They’ve updated the decor, added an outdoor bar, umbrellas to the tables, and updated the menu. I opted for the fish & chips, the husband opted for a steak & cheese sandwich. Service was excellent, our waitress was attentive, informative, and personable, and the food was delicious. The portion size of fish for their fish & chips, wasn’t huge, but satisfying. I wouldn’t say I got the most bang for your buck here, but what I did get was quality, and what I really wanted was to be able to enjoy a lunch outdoors, which is exactly what I got. I was a little sad that blackened fish tacos weren’t part of their everyday menu. (it’s a “Taco Tuesday” thing I guess.) I guess I will just need to come back on a Tuesday. There is a decent amount of parking available. Food prices were about the norm, as were the alcohol prices. A late lunch with drinks for 3 people ran us about $110, which in Rhode Island is about average.

Met the owners a few months ago and was determined to go check it out. I planned a 15-17 person gathering. The event coordinator was amazing and followed up with me a few days before. We sat outside which I believe would be the best and maybe only option for a very large party. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Very attentive and proud to serve us. The food was all amazing. Brisket Eggs Rolls, Blooming Onion, and Brisket Nachos were something to write home about. My burger was also very enjoyable. Every one of the people in our group, 15 of us had something great to say about the food and service. We will 100% become regulars here.

We had a decent size celebration get together here on the deck over looking the bay with a beautiful view and the service & food and were absolutely amazing. The wait staff was beyond a 5 star rating they were on top of absolutely everything and the food was perfect . We will all be back as regulars. Thank you again for being a huge part in tonight’s celebration and making everything perfect

Went yesterday and was disappointed. Server acted like she couldn’t even be bothered.after waiting quite a while for our drinks, I got the wrong beer. Had her switch it out for what I asked for only to get a warm beer. Took the third time and me settling for a Bud Light to get it right. Ordered brisket nachos and they were the worst ever. No cheese, corn was poured right of a can, super dry. Had to ask twice for extra hot sauce. Chicken wings were ok nothing to write home about. Too bad cause it could be a decent place. Won’t be going back.Would not recommend

Great everything! Staff great, food great, view great. Music all the time. If its not live music they have music on sound system playing through out the restaurant. Huge outdoor seating. Huge bar. Great lighting. Fun time. If its busy just grab a drink and soak in the view and cool vibes. Xtra seating on grass too. (Yes they serve on the grass area). Corn hole is set up for anyone to play. (Great for kids) Its tented on the patio so rain or shine its a great place. The entire staff works hard to accomodate and please everyone.

Very nice, short wait for a table our waiter was very helpful in making our choices. All 4 meals were very good 2 versions of pastrami sandwich and 2 salads 1 notable favorite was the summer salad with shrimp and watermelon. Atmosphere was nice, there was a guitarist who had a great range of music and was very good !

1st time here. Looked nice inside and out. There weren’t alot of people sitting down. But for some reason we we had to wait for a while. Waitress seemed overwhelmed maybe she’s new. Didn’t take long to get our drinks. But the wait for the food was to long. Didn’t think tacos took a half hour to make our order was simple. Maybe kitchen staff needs to understand what urgency is in a restaurant
