There are occasions which I crave Crab Cakes. Of course, I’m usually not in a restaurant that serves (good) crab cakes when said cravings hit. In those times, I’ve hit up Capt’n Chucky’s for a few which are super easy to cook at home. They have a few different options when it comes to filling and spicy level. I think I like the ones with the old bay incorporated the best.

Good food usually friendly. The only hang up for me is the fact that the guys preparing my food didn’t wear gloves. He dropped shrimp salad on the prep station picked it up with his bare hands and put it in my container. . The two who are running this place are not as pleasant as Frank. That other guys is gross.

Can’t believe this place only has a 3 reviews. Just about to place my order for annual xmas eve party. You won’t find better crabcakes this far from the shore – they are delicious and very filling. The shrimp tray is PHENOMENAL. Everything is top quality, they don’t skimp, and the service is friendly and courteous. This is my go to spot and should be yours too – you won’t be disappointed.

Not as fresh as I have had before. I love the Smith island crab. It almost taste like paste and crab. Like it was setting in the case for days and the stuffed mushrooms as well. The cream was dried out. Had ti throw it out

Are you people kidding!?? Having moved away for a few years and now back in the area, I thought I’d pick up some seafood for a quick dinner. I had been a regular customer when this Blue Bell location first opened. What a disappointment! Several of the selections were no longer available and although I expected the prices might have gone up, the reduced portion size was an eye opener. I couldn’t help asking exactly how much did the Smith Island crab cakes weight. They had been 4 ounces. New size…just a fraction over 3 ounces, about the size of an Oreo cookie!

First time going customer service was on point a young man approached us while we entered and asked can he help me. I ordered crab legs and had them steamed. It was disappointing the quality was not great. Crab legs was dry tasting meat. That’s my opinion I hope others have a great experience.

First impression- Staff and owner was friendly and there is plenty to choose from in the store. I bought a Buffalo Shrimp wrap that was pre-made in the little fridge in front of the register. Once back at work- the shrimp were frozen, the lettuce were brown, wilted and frozed and the wrap itself was soggy. When I picked it up it completely fell apart. So why 4 stars you ask, here is why. The staff as i previously stated were extremely nice, patient and informative. I would def come back again. I am a believer that everything cannot be perfect ALL the t ime. My lunch was 5 bucks and it wasnt the end of the world. I didnt call them to complain or anything, i just know the next time i patronize, I will be more attentive when selecting my food.

Awesome crab cakes. I suggest trying the signature crab cakes although the rock hall and smith island crab cakes are also great. Crab critters, cole slaw and garlic mashed potatoes also a must-try. Damned good!
