I got there at approximately 1pm, no line no fuss and ordered Curry Chicken, peas and rice, cabbage and carrots and plantains. The plantains were perfect!! BUT the rest of the food was not good at ALL. It tasted old and every time I would bite my rice and peas I would get what had the taste and texture of gristle meat. The chicken was so OVER COOKED that it was almost pureed. The cabbage and carrots tasted as if it was straight from a CAN. Although, I know that not to be true because cabbage doesn’t come in a can. BUT if it did this place can say they created the taste. I literally took one bite of the cabbage and was like NO, then 3 bites of the rice and peas from different areas, trying to see if it was ALL of it or maybe just one spot that had the gristle taste and to my dismay it was ALL. And then I ate all 3 of my perfectly cooked plantains. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Best Caribbean food I’ve had in a while. Drove out from Shreveport which has no good Caribbean food options. The jerk chicken, macaroni pie, peas and rice and fried plantains were so good. Only spent $15.

I’m shocked at the review for only being 4.2! This place was so delicious, I got the jerk wing platter and I thought it was absolutely delicious. Great service along being very friendly and welcoming. I’m not from the Caribbean so I can’t comment on anything about authenticity but I saw the long line they had and thought it must be good and it was!

Food is good as well as their fresh juices (try the blue one called cabana breeze). The issue is with the price and customer experience. The place is a little high but given it’s location, I understand. What I don’t understand is being charged extra for ice in a drink. What was even more repulsive was the unfriendly , dry personality of the young staff, especially the one serving drinks and patties. The young generation has lost it’s ability provide good customer service. I rather deal with robots and machines than employees that give off bad energy.

Excellent food! I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Had the jerk chicken and oxtail with spinach, cabbage, rice and peas. Meat was tender and falling off the bone. Rum punch was a bit sweet and not much alcohol but still good.

Their Jerk Chicken is full of flavor & heat, the Macaroni Pie was tasty, but the Curry Chick Peas stirred into the Spinach is mind blowing!!

When I come here, I’m getting the oxtail plate with macaroni pie and rice and peas, or I’m getting those tasty chicken curry patties.

Cashier’s attitude was horrible. It was like every customer that step to the counter was an inconvenience. I tried to order wings and fish and they had sold out of both. I understood that and he said it was a supply chain issue. So I just ordered a beef patty and plantains. We sat at the table and the guy came and gave me my plantains and said, “Here”. A customer standing behind me looked and said well he acting like that I’m not sure if I wanna eat here. I opened my box of “plantains” and it was a container of eaten wing pieces!!! I guess they realized the mistake and instead of coming to me asking what I had in the container, he yelled from by the window and behind counter asking what was in there. It was just a horrible experience. I usually go there when I’m at the farmers market but that will be my last time supporting this business.
