The jerk tofu was definitely overdone, and both the fries and the lumpia were pretty soft. I definitely like my lumpia to have some crunch to them!

We were on a road-trip and found this casual restaurant in Ventura. The menu list was interesting since it also had Filipino food. My husband had jerked chicken and I was craving for lechon Kawali. The portions were small and served with rice and salad. I didn’t like the salad dressing on my salad. The price was expensive for what we had. I was disappointed with my lechon kawali since it was not crispy as I expected.

Walked in and was greeted by the sweetest person on the planet who also asked what we liked and gave many options to help us decide. first was the beef Pattie’s. Something I try every time they are available…This was the Best beef pattie Crust I’ve ever had.. The beef inside was sorta dry for my taste but still very flavorful. I’m from NY so I’m used to Jamaicans making fresh patties. Maybe moisten the mixture and you’ll have a hit with me.

Locally owned and operated spot with a great menu. Their take on Caribbean/Filipino is inviting for everyone and I am yet to try something I didn’t enjoy. My family likes the Rasta Pasta (curry or jerk), Cuban sandwich, oxtail stew and lumpia.

My husband and son love the Jerk and barbecued chicken. I usually prefer to grab the oxtails, which are good but overpriced. Not a fan of the beef patties, but we can blame that on my being a New Yorker (Nothing will ever taste as good as home). Overall, I will recommend visiting a few times as the menu is vast.
