I really missed good soul food after moving from Harlem. There is literally no other place to get consistent, delicious soul food in MV. Every meal tastes good. The portions are great & the drinks are awesome. The owners are a sweet couple. The wife truly adds joy to every meal. She literally speaks with a smile. The husband is very kind & serves every customer with a smile as well

The food is amazing! It’s prepared fresh so order ahead or have some patience for the chef/staff! I got the oxtails, yams, Mac and cheese. My friends ordered other stuff and the price was reasonable. Will be returning!

Food is excellent on a consistent basis. Friendly and attentive service. I believe the best fried shrimp this side of City Island. Great snapper and Mac and cheese. Most flavorful chicken and catfish bites in the area.

I don’t normally write reviews….but this place DELIVERED. The food was delicious and FRESH. It feels like it was cooked with love too. This place is underrated and definitely a blessing in disguise! Support black owned businesses! Pictured are the garlic Parmesan wings w/ collard greens and Mac & fried wings w collard greens and sweet potatoes. They also have a special menu that changes daily .
