6 single tortilla tacos I asked were part of the 6pack tacos but they mistaked & did not correct. $13 total not including the extra charge for watery salsa- not chile. Tacos were cold. Not worth the cost.

The daily special is a staple, carnitas tacos with rice and beans. Order it with double tortilla, lime, and hot sauce for an extra special meal. The rice and beans are the best in town, my kids will make a meal from it! Lomo saltado is also great. Lower cut of meat than an expensive lomo but the price and cooking is spot on. So many great and authentic dishes, a very unique place in town!

First time here, I wanted tacos that tasted great. Ordered 2 6 pk tacos, 1 side of rice and beans and chips and salsa. The tacos looked like they’d been sitting under a warmer for awhile….the tortillas were rubbery and the meat had tough edges. I thought for $11.25 for each 6pk and the reviews they would be some fire tacos, but that wasn’t the case. Very underwhelmed, the lady taking our order was friendly, which is why I gave 2 stars. I figured maybe the food quality has just went down from all of the great reviews and prices up like most restaurants post Covid. It’s sad, I was really looking forward to some good tacos…disappointing.

We have never been disappointed here. Their Lomo Saltado is the best from Chicago to Florida. Their the most friendly people you could ever want to meet. Give the Lomo a try, give anything a try. You will not be disappointed. Ive been to 5 star Peruvian restaurants. Carlitos is waaaay better. The restaurant is ALWAYS clean, food always fresh and staff is always on point and so cordially inviting.
