I enjoyed breakfast here today. My sandwich cubano was good! Pork was a little dry and the bread was a little over-toasted, but I’d go back for sure! We went in for breakfast and our food was very fresh! The staff was smiley but I felt a little out of place . . . 2 white guys who didn’t order in Spanish. I’ll try again!

Great selection of foods and desserts. The biggest mojarra I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. It was a bit over-fried but good. The tostones had a bit of sweet-sour taste, meaning the plantains were not green as they should be, but rather already a little ripe. Nice servers. Recommended.

We were extremely disturbed by the food safety protocols, or lack thereof, that we witnessed at the restaurant. We were horrified to see a worker handling food with no gloves, and scooping up cockroaches and toss it as it was normal things to do. We believe that the restaurant needs to be shut down and thoroughly inspected by the health department in order to ensure that proper safety protocols are in place. It is unfortunate that many people are unaware of the potential risks of eating in restaurants with unsanitary conditions and workers who do not take proper precautions to maintain the cleanliness of the premises. Pest infestations are not only unacceptable, but also pose a serious health hazard.

I have been here before. I had the Fried Rice, but the rice was crunchy and the meet overcooked. I wanted to give them a 2nd opportunity, as I work @ Sunrise Hospital right down the street. I stopped by to get their fried rice w. chicken and they didn’t have it that day. I opted for another rice that looked like a lasagna w. corn and veggies, but the portion was huge so I requested to only get 1/2 of the portion. I then proceed to request maduros and she gave me 2 maduros. I requested to see if she could double my maduros she said no I’m not allowed. I said Ok. I opted to get half of the portion of the other meal, but ok I will pay extra for the maduros, she proceeded to say no she couldn’t do it. She said that is your issue you don’t want the bigger portion, I cannot give you more. I said I’m willing to pay for an 2nd order, she said no. I was super upset about the poor customer service. I wasn’t asking for a FREE order. Even if that was their manager’s policy, she should have offered to have me speak to the manager. I walked out and told them to keep their entire order after she had served it on the to go container.
