Went here after looking on my gluten free app for a place safe for me to eat. They have a separate gf/vegan menu. Nice selection of options! Waitstaff was knowledgeable and knew to tell the kitchen staff right away. We had a great first experience and the food was delicious and so was the jumbo margarita!!! We’ll definitely be back if we’re ever back in the area.

A regular stop when we’re in the Dubuque area. Server was excellent, especially considering besides waiting tables she was also greeting people at the front and getting them seated. Food is always good and we’ve never had a bad experience here.

Love this Carlos but we usually sit at the bar, & their new stools are very uncomfortable and hard to move on the carpet! But we still will come here at least twice a week! Love the managers & servers!

It’s been 15 years since my last visit to a Carlos O’Kelly’s and it sure has dropped in quality. Food is tasteless and salsa has no zing. In the photo shows a dirty table that was dirty when I got there and when I left. The entire place needs a makeover physical and menu. Waitress was very nice.

First time at this location, and we got there at 830 and closed at 9. They were super friendly we had our order ready when we got our drinks. The server was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Definitely will be back.

We had them cater a wedding reception, everything was fresh and delicious! Went above and beyond to cater to everyone’s diet restrictions too! They boxed up all the left overs and I was able to pick it up the next day.

The food here is just not very good. This is not Mexican or Tex Mex. It’s their own version. How can someone screw up refried beans or queso dip? They are the most basic staples. If you’re looking for good, Mexican food, this isn’t the place. Their only saving grace is their service.
