Food use to be way better and more on plate. They cut back and fish was fried too hard and maybe even in dirty grease. I won’t be back for awhile. This use to be one of the best places to eat in laurel.

We don’t go down to Carl’s often but have been getting food from their for a couple years and it has been very good. It taste like they took pride in the food. The last two times we got food from their it was blah tasting and thrown together. The ribs used to be very good. It seems like they don’t take pride in the food anymore.

The food here is southern and delicious. Never have I had a complaint at least. The catfish fillets are amazing and the ribs are big and meaty. My wife loves the boiled shrimp too.

5 STAR/A+ EVERY TIME!!! Great food & great folks! My bunch loves having Carls for supper. Everything is very good but it’s a toss up between fried shrimp and boiled shrimp as my personal favorite. Can’t go wrong havin em cooked either way!!! The only negative is they’re not open every night of the week.

Ate from here 2 weeks ago and it was very good. I got a butterfly shrimp basket, my husband got half catfish and half shrimp basket and it wasn’t greasy at all. It was very good. Fast service and nice people.
