First time at Carmine’s and the experience was excellent. The food was delicious and portions were large. The waiter was attentive and friendly.

Amazing food at an amazing price. Portions are oversized. You will not leave hungry. Staff is super friendly. Food is excellent. My husband got the cheese steak sub and it was amazing. I got the small portion chicken Alfredo. Everything is so fresh. Crispy broccoli with a whole chicken breast. Home made fresh spaghetti sauce with chunks of tomatoes. The garlic toast appetizer was just perfection.

This is our favorite place in town. The food is always good. It’s fresh and non-institutional. The portions are large, but most items have a small plate option. We always enjoy the left-overs. The prices are very reasonable. The service is excellent and the servers are friendly and helpful. My husband has food allergies and the staff is always very accommodating and careful. We never have to worry about what he eats here.

Charlie, our server, was great. Bread & salad was tasty. Lemon cake & cheese cake were outstanding. Spaghetti & meatballs & chicken parm were horrible. We’d heard “rave reviews” about Carmine’s for yrs. Anxious to visit. Very disappointed. Love authentic Italian food……both taste & quality were very poor. Spaghetti was overcooked & meat balls had zero flavor. I had ordered larger portion to have leftovers. Sorry that I did. Won’t return.

Food was great. Could use a little cleaning up. Our table was so sticky we had to us napkins to keep from sticking to it. Our young waiter did his best to clean it off, but obviously it had been there for quite some time.

Unexpectedly good, quite delightful. From the sun-dried tomato butter for the homemade rolls (I was told they change up the butter frequently) to the music playing (Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong) to the service (just attentive enough but not overbearing, excellent timing, friendly but not overly familiar, and cute on top of everything!). Restaurant is clean, well decorated but not kitschy, well lit. The beer and wine list reflect both standards and local fare. The bread was quite nice, soft and not overwhelmingly crusty, and exactly the right size. I had the in-house balsamic vinaigrette, and you should too: it’s close to f’ing perfect. Slightly peppery, very simple, it relied on the basic interplay of the flavors in the vinegar and oil, highlighted masterfully by the spices. I had a pasta dish with anchovies, capers, garlic, raisins and a spare handful of Roma tomatoes: it WAS perfect. Personally, I could have used more anchovies, but I’m far more fond of them than most people, and I imagine they work perfectly in their more subtle capacity for the average person. I’d bet money they’d adjust any elements that you could feasibly request changed, but it strikes me as probable that the best advice is to just trust the chef, trust the food, and eat.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now. Well the wait was not worth it!! We barely saw our waiter, empty drinks were not filled, bread was not replenished, salad was 2 cucumbers and lettuce, they had no Italian dressing, entrees were bland, boxed pasta not even boiled in salt water, spaghetti sauce tasted like tomato sauce from can with no garlic or seasoning added. Can’t even describe the taste of the disgusting meatballs. Totally disappointed in this restaurant will never go back!!!

My wife and I discovered this restaurant by chance, while en route to another restaurant using the GPS. Something attracted my wife’s eye. We decided to chance it and ordered the waiter’s suggestion: Veal Sinatra, which came with a side pasta and an artichoke, sun dried tomato, and mushroom dark sauce. Four medallions of excellent veal per serving. Side salads. And a bottle of Chianti. I finished with a beautiful Tiramisu. The waiter was cheerful and helpful. We studied the restaurant layout. Nice, clean, bare wooden tables and comfortable chairs spaced widely apart–we’ve had enough of crammed seating in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and especially New York. Big bright windows down the long side of the single-aisle dining room, with a sunny view of tall trees and sky. Everything–every aspect of service and food–delighted us. I put the restaurant in my contacts and GPS and definitely will be back.

Restaurant is small but not really that cozy feel, it’s more like a slight step up from a fast food restaurant with simple table setup and menus. I thought the furniture and decor inside would be a little nicer judging from the outside…a simple linen tablecloth would make a huge difference. The portions were large, beer prices very fair, and our server was really cool, but unfortunately that’s the only good thing about Carmine’s as far as my experience went.
