Established in 1982 by Carmine DeBernardo, Carmine’s pizza has been a longtime staple for pizza in Far North Dallas and the Addison area. Originally from NY, Mr. DeBernardo brought traditional family recipes and perfected them for a picky Dallas crowd. Starting with hand-made pizza dough, carefully chosen and tested cheese blend, Marinara and pizza sauces made from scratch with the perfect amount of spices, Mr. DeBernardo won the hearts and stomachs of many Texans and others in the area. The Carmine’s pizza was and still is a favorite place to grab a slice of 22 pizza, eat a hand-made calzone or stromboli, spaghetti, sandwiches, or order something to-go or for delivery.

The food is AMAZING. I got the ziti and a custom cheese pizza. Absolutely delicious. The owner is so nice and great customer service. 10/10 I found my new favorite Italian spot! If you want real New York flavor, eat at Carmine’s.

Our Stromboli’s where amazing, great portion. If you dine it it’s very cozy and feels like home . Staff is very nice and helpful when ordering. I even saw the owners return someone’s wallet which just goes above and beyond. They recognize you if you come often as well. 10/10

This place is literally one of my favorite NY style pizza places in DFW. I have ordered delivery, takeout, and dine-in and have always had pleasant experiences. For this particular review, I ordered a delivery for the first time. After requesting my address and determining whether I had a security gate or not, they also asked for my phone number in case I had to be called to either pickup or meet them. I was duly informed that it would take anywhere from 30-45 minutes for the pizza to be delivered, yet I received mine within 20 minutes and they came to my door. If you are located within 3 miles, be aware that delivery is free! The pizza was served hot.

This pizza is different. The cheese is my favorite part! It was light and airy, but tasted so good. The dough could have a little more flavor, but I guess that’s how they do it in NY. It is also not super thin, but definitely not thick, either. The sauce was very good as well. It was also priced around the same as other competitors. I would try it again. Definitely call in ahead of time, cause they are busy! But I still got my pizza within twenty minutes for pickup.

The best pizza hands down! Dean and his family have been running this hidden gem for over 40years. As a graduate of the Cornell Hotel School and having no shortage of great pizza all over New York, I was blown away by Carmine’s. No other pizza comes close.

A Dallas Icon. You can’t find more authentic Italian pizza in the United States. Family owned and operated, two Italian brothers with a dream came to America many decades ago and can still be found working by their stove crafting the best pizza in town hand down.

Flavorful Neapolitan pizza, just like you’d get in Queens or Brooklyn. Real whole milk mozzarella cheese (not low moisture part skim milk) makes all the difference between the real deal and the type of cheese that that slides off the slice and into your lap when you take a bite. Good lunch specials too, although not as good as the specials I used to get in 1961-two slices and a Coke for 75 cents.
