While on vacation this summer at the Cape May beach, my family, and I were walking up and down Beach Avenue looking for the right spot to eat that would cater to all of our desires. We agreed on Kearney‘s Restaurant and Bar. As soon as we enter the restaurant, it was pretty empty and very clean. The server came out to meet us right away. We ordered appetizers and our entrées. Unfortunately, it took an extremely long time to receive our appetizers. The server was expressing her frustration that it was taking so long. Literally one minute after receiving our appetizers, our meals came out. Everyone completely enjoyed their meal and was satisfied. Excluding the fact about the time of our appetizers, I would return here again. The salmon tacos were the best I have ever had anywhere.

My friends and I are locals in cape may and have been coming to carneys for years. Last night may have been our last time there. We have never been treated so poorly by bartenders. We used to love the bar tenders there. Don’t know what happened. The two girls that were behind the bar were blatantly ignoring us and serving everybody around us who wasn’t even waiting as long. I tried to get their attention just to be givin the dirtiest look and eye rolls. I know many people who don’t go there anymore for the same reason. As a former bartender, you have one job. To put smiles on people’s faces and give great service. These girls did the opposite. Don’t work at a popular bar if you’re a grumpy person and can’t handle the crowd. This place is going DOWN fast. We left and went to the boiler room and got server drinks right away and it was even more crowded there. Get some new bartenders or keep loosing long time customers.

I love this bar so much! Monday night is Trivia Night, which is a ton of fun! Lots of great live music almost every night. This is definitely a Cape May staple! Bartenders and servers are friendly and helpful. This place is one of my all time favorites.

We went on a busy Friday night, left our # and were contacted promptly when the table was ready. Great live music that night, and our server, Wendy, was the sweetest, kindest, and best server EVER! even though table space was at a premium, she didn’t make us feel rushed to turn over the table.

We visited this restaurant because our original option was too popular that night and we saw this restaurant that could seat us immediately! Now we get it. The Fish and Chips were beautifully under seasoned – I believe there was a 3 foot “no spices allowed” zone in the kitchen. I managed to get fish in every other bite from my fish tacos. The saltine crackers there were dry – oh wait that was the burger. The ribs can outcompete Walmart-brand pork anytime! Service and atmosphere were fine. Food was overpriced and nothing special.

Great venue for the Exit 0 Jazz Fest. 2 stages kept the music going!

Came here for dinner last minute. Sat for dinner on the bar side— food was standard bar food but still good. Live band was entertaining. Cheesecake egg rolls were good and so was the mini margarita pizza.

I’ve been there plenty of times mostly for “night life”.. it does get super packed but its also alot of fun..they usually have an OK DJ.. and the live band is usually a good time.. but plan on waiting for drinks and paying top dollar for them ‍♂️

Food was pretty pathetic. My wife and sister has the filet mignon sandwich which was beyond well done and tough as leather. I had the lobster Mac and cheese for $30 that seriously had about a half an ounce of tiny pieces of claw mixed in. I am being generous is describing their food.
