I went to try the chicharrones and discovered the gorditas are just as good, if not better. The chicharrones are really good but they could use some seasoning. The gorditas can be ordered with any filling and they’re so flavorful. The quesadilla junior is a whole meal in itself and it was also great. The beans with carnitas they bring out with the chips is the best and we asked for another cup of that to go. Limonada was also good and they bring you a huge cup. The servers were super friendly.

1st visit here. Will not be our last. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Great staff only down side service was a little slower than expected.Carnitas were great juicy n toasted. Tacos de bistec were great. Loaded baked potato was dripping with butter n toppings. Everything was reasonably priced for the amount of food served. Worth the 2.5hr drive from home.

This place was a pleasant surprise. They have an ample selection of food. They specialize in carnitas and chicharron. Their breakfast menu is written up in sharpie and pasted on their soda fridge..lol, but those breakfast plates are well served and all come with beans and chilaquiles. Delicious!!! We started with a free serving of chips and salsa, but the star of the show was a bean dip that is highlighted with a carnita and chicharron guisado…it was Amazing!!! You could almost eat it like a soup. The next highlight were the freshly made donuts…BAM!!! The only part of the meal that was just ok was the barbacoa. This place is definitely worth a try even if it’s just for coffee and their donuts. Next time I’m trying lunch.

Ordered 1 1/2 pound of carnitas 1 pound of chicharrón & a simple junior quesadilla. We waiting almost an hour for the food. The carnitas and chicharrón can out first & the kids quesadilla came out 20 mins AFTERWARDS. By the time the quesadilla was out, the rest of the food was cold and had to be reheated. They took long to reheat the food aswell. After all the waiting the cheese in the quesadilla was not even fully melted. Customers who came in after us got their food before us and even finished eating and left by the time we received all of our food. If you cannot handle high traffic, don’t accept more customers.

This is a hidden gem in Edinburg tx on Cano rd … omgeee the food is so delicious best that I have had in the valley. This is a must stop if you come visit the valley you won’t be disappointed and prices are decent and not outrageous. I didn’t even get to take pictures because it just smelled so good.

Food tasted extremely BLAND. The beans were made of the cheapest ingredients and everything tasted super weird. The tacos were SUPER greasy and oily and it completely soiled the tortilla. The bistek tacos tasted as if they had put no condiments whatsoever and it lacked taste. The potato was also really bad. Seriously guys, how do you mess up on a baked potato? The staff was friendly but the food was sooo bad. and the prices here are steeper than normal. I wouldn’t come here again

Good environment but that food was terrible. The chicharrones tasted like they have been left out, not fresh at all. And to top it off later in the day I had and still have a bad stomach ache needless to say this place made me sick.
