We came in with a big party for a coworkers goodbye, however, local friends who frequent the restaurant said the service was generally very slow, which was the case for us. Initially service was great, the waitress was very sweet and brought us our drinks quickly. She took our orders and everyone’s low country boil orders were out very quickly. All the appetizers ordered came out after the actual food. The waitress returned maybe twice after the food was served despite everyone trying to order water refills. The food was good, but if you’re someone who wants/needs tools for shellfish, we did not get any. I ordered a low country boil ($29), hush puppies ($10) and water and my total was ~ $50

I have been craving crab and my husband and kids decided to try Carolina Crab House for Mother’s Day. First impressions were that the interior design was very nice looking. That and the hush puppies were the only things we enjoyed. We won’t be back. $80 for 2 chewy overcooked crab legs is very sad.

Paid 50 dollars for low crab boil with extra blue crab, snow crab, mussel, and crayfish. Didn’t recieve the half amount of shrimp and crawfish as advertised. As you can see the blue crab is not even legal. I left My car keys for a comparison the blue crab is about a inch and a half ( the actual cluster) not even harvest able. Flavor was bland. I’m from Florida traveled to DC, Maryland, and North Carolina. This food is no where near fresh and poor quality . If this is the standard for South Carolina and being inland than this is poor. I am expecting some kind of response through Gmail you can get my ID or respond. This is umexceptable and if you are a quality organization you should respond.

The menu prices online are not accurate and neither are the food descriptions. I ordered a pound of shrimp, with corn and potatoes. I don’t know if it’s the staff or Sunday evening, but I received 4 potatoes (description says 2),NOT nearly a pound of shrimp (thank my GNC kitchen scale) and disgusting EGGS(NOT listed in the description).

Over all real good food, fantastic service. A few weird things like your food comes in a plastic bag. Soon they will have beer and liquor.

TRUST the negative reviews. The bathrooms are disgusting, and the service definitely matches. Never will I ever waste $ on this place again. The food was just “ok”.

Where to start with this train wreck. Everything was great when we walked in; seated quickly and pretty good atmosphere… bonus, they have a bar. Drink orders; waitress (who is very nice) repeated three times before we finally convinced her that was what we wanted. Drinks came out in sticky styrofoam cups. We placed our meal orders and the same dance ensues; waitress repeats the order 3 or 4 times before we finally convince her that is what we want. I order a mussel and crab leg boil, my son has chicken fingers. My food comes out; 10 minutes later his food comes out. Chicken is overcooked, my meal is now cold because I’ve been waiting for his meal to come. No plates, no silverware, but I’ve got this dope plastic bib and a shell bucket. I ask for a fork so I can get into my crab legs, I get a plastic fork. No shell crackers, no picks, a flimsy plastic fork….. it’s almost like they’ve never eaten shell fish before. Never mind, I’ll just eat the mussels. Or maybe I won’t, because the waitress (who is still very nice) will…not….go…away for more than a few seconds. I have never ever been so smothered by a waitress before, and I’ve never been so glad to pay $80 for a meal just so I could leave an establishment.

We should have left before we sat down. Waited to be seated. Someone had to yell for a server. The server was extremely annoying. We ordered our drinks and she repeated it 4 times before we had to tell her yes that is all for drinks. We ordered our food and she did the same thing. Then she wouldn’t leave us alone as we tried to eat. We had to tell her we would let her know if we needed anything. The dinning room was ok but the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The food was almost ok. Trying to pick the meat out of crab was a pain with a flimsy plastic fork. We will never go back.

This was one of the worst food experiences I have ever encountered. Please see my other reviews, I always give accurate reviews and positive feedback for most experiences. Normally, I do not leave a negative review, but rather just not return. But this food was terrible. No flavor, overcooked, and way overpriced. Service was good. Nice server and we were the only table in the restaurant for a while. Was definitely a waste of $80.
