I’ve eaten in over 60 countries and this is quite simply one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited. Considering the price/quality ratio and the lovely warm welcoming staff, it is sensational. The coconut meringue pie was the best pie I have ever had. Worth a big detour.

Carolyn’s Essenhaus had been on our radar for a couple of years, and we finally got the chance to try it. Cute place, friendly people, and the food was delicious! We both loved their salad bar, as well as my pork roast and her chicken strips. My girlfriend claimed that the gravy on her mashed potatoes was hands down the best she has had, and that it reminded her of her grandma’s. The bread that was served with dinner was so good that we brought a loaf of it home and everyone loved it. We also brought home some snickerdoodle cookies that were amazing. What else?? Great iced tea, and even a puzzle exchange!!

Delicious donut. Took home some of their sour cream raisin pie which I have always liked and my favorite wheat berry bread. Staff was very helpful and put my pie over a container of ice since I would not be returning to refrigeration soon.

This place is amazing!!!!! The atmosphere is so welcoming like being at home!!! Waitresses are super cool and very friendly!!! This was my second day eating at Carolyn’s and was funny the same young lady that waited on us seen us walk in and was like welcome back with a huge grin on her face. Love this place and got to meet carolyn!!! The food is so so good all from scratch!!!!!!

Had the chance to eat there with my Son on a Deer Hunt. The food was amazing. We had hamburgers and Sweet Potato Fries. The buns were so soft and fresh. The flavor of the food was great. Fast service. Amazing Staff. Can’t wait to go back.
