It was a unique experience for Phoenix with Iraqi cuisine. The place overall was good. The setup is a little disorganized with tables and couches. I am not sure if the place is supposed to be a restaurant, bar, or Hookah lounge. The staff was friendly but the service was a bit slower than it should have been. The food was good, not great, but served in ample portions. I thought the appetizer mixture was a bit more unique and better tasting than the various entree meats. In my opinion, the chicken tikka was the best of the three entree meats. However, none of the items were bad and I would not hesitate to order and eat every one of the items in the future. A very pleasant find. The staff/owners were very friendly. I definitely felt welcome. My server Aya was very nice! The food was also good. I ordered the Beef tikka but added a bit of shawarma for an additional charge. For my drink I had the lemon mint juice which ended up being a frozen blend type of drink and I really enjoyed it. I’d recommend both as they were both good. They don’t serve cocktails however you can request to add liquor to any of the beverages for an upcharge. I also loved the atmosphere as well. My son treated me to a late dinner here on a Sunday when no one else was open. The atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting with the interesting fountain in the foyer,j the service was great, and the food was good. All the flavors were made to compliment each other. Loved the experience, the people and the food. We look forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu.
